Traditional library card

PIN code

• Every library card has a PIN code. It's needed for checking out books and when logging in to your account in Laurea Finna.

There are two ways to log into your information in Laurea Finna.

1. All users can log in with their library card number and PIN code.
2. Laurea students and staff can also log in with their Laurea user credentials (Haka login). When you use Haka login for the first time, Laurea Finna will ask you to type in your library card number and PIN code. After you have done this once, you can log into Laurea Finna directly with your Laurea credentials.

There are machines for checking out and returning books in the library. Library card and PIN code is required when you check out books. 

You can check out books from any 3AMK library and return them to any other 3AMK library. Loan period is either 2 weeks or 4 weeks depending on the item type.

Renew your loans online by logging into Laurea Finna. You can renew 15 times unless you have library fines 15 € or more, or if there is a reservation for the book.

Return or renew on time. Overdue fine is 0,50 € / day / loan. If you have library fines 15 € or more, you won't be able to renew or check out more books.

You can order books from other 3AMK libraries or reserve books that are on loan. This is done online in Laurea Finna. [info]

Avoid reserving in vain. Come and get books directly from the library collection always when possible. Even though there are reservations on a book title, you can check out a book if you find it from the shelf. 

When the reserved book is ready to be picked up, you will receive an email. If you don't check out your reservation on time, a fine of 2 € will be added to your account.

Library opening hours contain both service hours and self service hours. During self service hours you can return and check out books with the lending machines, but there is no librarian present.
