ManagiDiTH Library Guide: Home

Welcome to the ManagiDiTH Library Guide

This is the ManagiDiTH information search and library guide. We are pleased to offer a carefully selected range of books, articles and databases from three universities. This guide will inform you of the resources available to you and provide links to databases through Laurea, Iscte and AUTH. Our services also offer expert advice on finding and using information. Do not hesitate to contact our specialists Emilia and Minna, dedicated to the ManagiDiTH programme.

User rights and authentication

  • Online resources are available for each university's students and staff during their studies or work contract in the university.

  • At the beginning of your studies, you have received the IDs of the three universities. These will allow you to log in to the databases of the three universities and access all resources.

  • Check the remote access requirements for each university separately: Iscte, Laurea, AUTh. For Iscte remote access you need a VPN connection.

AUTh access Library eResources

Currently, ManagiDiTH students do not have access to the AUTh databases. As the agreditation of the training programme progresses, access will be available in the autumn.

Laurea terms of use and remote access

""Using Laurea licensed e-resources outside Laurea's network requires logging in with Laurea username and password (Haka login). Within Laurea's network licensed e-resources can in most cases be used without logging in. For remote use you don't need a VPN connection and a VPN connection is not provided for students.

Laurea licensed e-resources are marked with Laurea logo. Terms of use of each licensed e-resource can be found by clicking the copyright icon located after the name of the e-resource.

Connectivity to Iscte VPN

For access off campus to any of the online resources mentioned you have to install our VPN (Virtual Private Network). This installation has 2 steps:

  • Step 1: First of all, you must do a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) which is a method by which a user confirms the identity through two or more pieces of evidence successfully presented. In the case of Iscte, we consider the username and password to be the first authentication factor. The choice of the second factor will be up to the user. We recommend OKTA Verify App.
Visit https://identity.iscte-iul.pt/, confirm your identity at Identity, follow the steps  https://siic.iscte-iul.pt/en/mfa-2/  and proceed with the setting up the Okta Verify app on your mobile phone.
  • Step 2: Then go to the VPN installation homepage:
https://siic.iscte-iul.pt/en/services/networks-and-connectivity/vpn/#install-vpn  where you can select among Windows, MacOSX, Linux or Tablets and Smartphones to setup it.
