Laurea's subscribtion includes hundreds of standards belonging to two standard groups: 03 (services, company organization, management and quality, adminstration, transport) and 13 (environment, health protection, safety).
FICORA (Viestintävierasto) maintains an overview of the functionality of electronic communications networks and information security, and reports of eventual information security threats. Also, the objective is to increase the awareness of information security in homes and companies for example by means of guidelines. The National Cyber Security Centre is part of FICORA.
The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) supervises and promotes the technical safety and conformity, together with the consumer and chemicals safety in Finland.
The National Council for Crime Prevention is a crime prevention expert and cooperation agency, established in the Ministry of Justice, Finland. The goal is to decrease the harm caused by crime and to increase security.
The Ministry of Finance directs and coordinates the development of information security across local and, more particularly, central government. The Government Information and Cyber Security Management Board (VAHTI), appointed by the Ministry, is responsible for Government cooperation, steering and development efforts in this area. VAHTI sets all the main policy guidelines for information and cyber security in central government.
In Finland the Safety Investigation Authority investigates all major accidents regardless of their nature as well as all aviation, maritime and rail accidents and their incidents.
